Now in its fifth year, The Gallipoli Association Helles Battlefield Study Project is proving an invaluable asset to pinpointing and recording important sites on the battlefield. Every passing year, the scars of Gallipoli—the trenches, tunnels, and remnants of the 1915 battlefield—fade into obscurity. Overgrowth, erosion, and human activity threaten to erase this crucial chapter of history forever. If we don’t act now, the battlefield’s archaeological record will be lost to time !

The Helles Battlefield Study Project is racing against the clock to record these historical sites before they disappear. Volunteers have dedicated their time, energy, and passion to meticulously survey the area for reference by future generations—but they need your help to continue.

It costs £6,000–£8,000 per year to send a Gallipoli Association team to the Gallipoli Peninsula and support its important work at home. We need your financial support to enable this vital work to go on.
