Our Third Regional Conference was another huge success. With over 60 attendees this year the event was held in Burnley, Lancashire, co-hosted with our friends at the East Lancashire Western Front Association.

In style the event kicked off with our first speaker, Dr. Martin Purdy on the subject of "Careful of a court martial: The private diary and images of a junior officer at Gallipoli." We then heard from Mike Crane and his latest research on "The 1/5th East Lancashire Regiment and the four Bolton Brothers". After a super lunch the afternoon was revitalised by Peter Hart for a talk on "The Winter Storm" before the afternoon was ended with both Andrew Gill and Andrew Mackay talking on "Burnley, Gallipoli and the sinking of the Royal Edward".
