‘Echoes of Gallipoli: For those left behind’ by Chris Shaw

Chris will talk about the ideas behind, the research he undertook, the writing and the reaction to his highly regarded book, Echoes of Gallipoli: For those left behind.

It describes the cultural background of a representative family of each of the ten nationalities who formed the Allied forces in Gallipoli, the fictional conditions that lead to the death or wounding of that soldier and explores the various family reactions to the news.

Chris was born in Felixstowe and had a successful career as a pharmacist in the UK, the West Indies and Australia. He now lives in Queensland where he has become a successful and highly regarded author of both fiction and non fiction.
