Remembrance Sunday 2025

The Gallipoli Association were once again honoured to march during the Remembrance Sunday event at The Cenotaph, London. The weather was kind again with some autumn sunshine, and with the sound of the gun firing at the end of the two-minute silence and the bugler playing the Last Post and the Rouse, the marchers began to move forward. Passing The Cenotaph we left a wreath, and upon entering Horse Guards Parade, the order "Gallipoli Association, eyes right" was given which brought a smile to the Duke of Edinburgh's face who was  in position as each group of marchers passed. Prince Edward is of course the Patron of the Gallipoli Association, which we are all very proud of.

After a chilly morning outside the Gallipoli Association contingent then settled down for lunch at The Admiralty pub where we had brilliant service, as usual.

You can see The Gallipoli Association on BBC iPlayer Remembrance Day: the Cenotaph at 2.19.15. we're just behind the St. John's Ambulance Brigade in their green uniform but blink and you will miss us.

We are looking forward to returning to the Cenotaph next year to continue this very special act of remembrance. A BIG thank you for all those that attended this year, and a special thanks to Hester for organising the GA contingent with military precision.
