Anzac Day Service Mount Scopus, Jerusalem

A late taste of winter in the eastern Mediterranean brought Anzac Day to a close with a violent thunder storm, hail and very heavy rain.
In the morning however we were blessed with a cool, dry, hour from 10 o'clock for the ceremony in Jerusalem.
The service was generously hosted by the Australian embassy and despite the poor weather forecast, well attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Israeli government and armed forces, plus various civil organisations. The Gallipoli Association numbered among the latter and a wreath was laid on behalf of the association by Michael D. Robson.
