Remembrance Sunday: 13 November 2016

The Gallipoli Association has been invited to participate as one of the marching contingents in this year’s Remembrance Day Parade. This is now a significant and memorable event in the Association’s calendar; our involvement highlights the significance of the Gallipoli campaign and more importantly recognises and remembers all those who served in it.

Increased security measures will be in place this year and members wishing to take part in the parade should complete the form enclosed with the Autumn edition of The Gallipolian and return it to the address given on the form no later than 9 September 2016. [Please do not send the form to the Association’s Mailbox 630 address] Tickets will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. Those applying for tickets should be aware that they are likely to be standing in Whitehall for at least 1½ hours prior to the March Past, then marching for a distance of over a mile, possibly in inclement weather.
