Requiem Concert to mark the end of The First World War

A Requiem concert is to be held at the Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street, Belgravia, London SW1X 9BZ on 9 June 2018 to commemorate the end of the First World War.

The event will premiere a newly-composed Requiem by Alex Woolf – with text by the National Poet of Wales, Gillian Clarke – for cello, choir and organ, featuring the BBC’s ‘Young Musician of the Year’ Laura van der Heijden.  The concert will also include some of the most moving and beautiful choral music written in the 100 years since the First World War and will feature some of London’s best professional singers alongside Laura at the cello.

The Gallipoli Association has made a small donation to support the event and this will be recognised in the concert programme.   Tickets cost £12 which can be obtained from The organisers have also made a small number of complimentary tickets available to the Association; if you wish to apply for one of these please contact the Hon.
