Gallipoli-associated events 2010
In August 2010, the Australian War Memorial will convene an international conference to mark the 95th anniversary of the climactic battles of the Gallipoli campaign. Keynote speaker, Professor Robin Prior, author of Gallipoli: the end of the myth (2009), will join a range of international authorities to present their most recent research findings. HAWICK
On Monday 12 July the Hawick Callants Club will hold their traditional wreath laying ceremony at 7.00pm at the 'Horse Monument' in the High Street. This will be followed at 7.20pm by the laying of a 'Gallipoli Comrades' wreath at the War Memorial in Wilton Lodge Park.

ISLE OF WIGHT
On Sunday 15 August, a service and wreath laying ceremony to commemorate Princess Beatrice's Isle of Wight Rifles, 8th Bn. The Hampshire Regiment will take place at 3.00pm (assemble at 2.45pm) in the Chapel of St Nicholas-in-Castro, Carisbrooke Castle, Carisbrooke, Newport. Further information from Gareth Sprack. SANDRINGHAM (WEST NEWTON)
